No doubt, in this political season, you have heard of the medical malpractice “reform” dispute.
If you are a doctor or related to someone in medicine, your reflexes tell you that it must be necessary.
If you are a patient who never suffered an injury through inadequate care, your reflexes might also lead you to worry about the availability of medical care and its cost. Your inclination may be to fall in line with those pushing for reform with dramatic accusations. The problem is, those accusations are unsupported by fact and are made with the recognition that whether you speak the truth or not, speak it frequently enough and, like mud, it will stick.
If you are a patient who has been injured through substandard care, your instincts and experience lead you to question why the medical profession seeks to insulate from responsibility those few individuals who cause injuries by their medical carelessness, when individuals in other professions are responsible when they do something wrong that causes injury. Responsibility to someone you have harmed through carelessness is a right that preexists the Constitution.
A recent editorial by the Editors of the Trenton Times newspaper echoes what many attorneys have known for quite some time: “? information just released by order of a federal judge showing that confidential settlements, jury awards and other payouts made by insurers on behalf of physicians have been declining since 2001, even as insurance premiums soared ? It seems clear by now, however, that other factors, possibly including insurance industry practices, are helping cause those high premiums.” (The Times, Thursday, June 10, 2004, page A18)
Those who push for this reform have their own agenda that is blind to the plight of the injured and the majority of doctors.
The problem is that we have all been made victims of the malpractice dispute and the lines that have been drawn. As usual, those who press for malpractice reform vilify attorneys. Arguments are offered about the impact of verdicts on the availability of medical care and its cost. The proven reality is that the problem does not lie with the performance of the great majority of doctors, nor does it lie with any lack of merit in the overwhelming majority of malpractice claims that are properly brought and supported.
As so often happens, the battle has been launched by those who want change based upon the impact on their own profit, rather than on merit. It is the insurance industry and those it supports in politics who push for more change. The weapons they use involve select, distorted statistics.
The insurance industry, both in the managed care and liability sectors, has put the doctors in a vise, squeezed by the difficulty in receiving fair fees for care provided and pressed by rising premiums or the threat of unavailable insurance. This combination forces doctors into an adversarial position with their patients and with the legal system.
This is what the insurance industry has done, pitting patient against doctor and doctor against the lawyer. One can understand the doctors being upset at the predicament in which they have been placed. The quarrel is only with whom they blame for that predicament and with the information they have been supplied by an industry that has far too much control over their medical conduct and their income.
The problem is that the rancor created between the legal and medical communities is fueled by this misinformation flowing from the real “culprit”, the insurance industry, to the physicians.
A missed cancer diagnoses is not always malpractice. But sometimes it is. A bad result from medical treatment is not always malpractice. But sometimes it is.
The studies and facts are clear and available. The problem lies not in the verdicts. It lies not with the vast majority of well-founded cases that properly seek redress through use of one of the world’s finest legal systems. And it lies not with the vast number of good doctors, who consistently practice good medicine. It lies with the insurance industry that refuses to police itself in terms of its business practices and its dealings with those relatively few doctors that repeatedly fail to practice within the standards of their own profession.
That industry arms itself (and the doctors it controls through its ability to dictate both income and insurance costs) with distortion and the easy, historic dislike of lawyers and the legal system that is so easy to cultivate. That is, until access to the courts and attorneys are needed.
Insurance corporations have their attorneys with untrammeled access to the courts and virtually limitless resources to advance their own interests. It is patients’ access to the courts for protection of their rights that is being attacked and minimized. Since it is the patient’s lawyer who must advance that right, it is the patient’s lawyer and the jury system that the insurance industry seeks to whittle away. Then the insurance industry and its political spokespersons can advance their interests virtually unopposed without the threat of meaningful financial responsibility for negligently caused injury.
It is the irony of the situation that the victims of malpractice ? the vast majority of doctors and the injured patients ? really do have common interest with lawyers in protecting the patient. The villain, the irritant, or whatever other word fits, is the big business of insurance and those in government who either misunderstand the situation or seek to protect their own interests by stepping on those who need protection.
The danger is in the successful creation of a misguided debate on the wrong issues ? so that the patients, the patients’ attorneys, and most of the doctors are compelled to avoid, or at least delay, focusing on the conduct of the insurance industry that is a major cause of its own problems and, by extension, the problems of the medical profession and patients they are supposed to protects.
Smells fishy to me. Soros has been buying up all the gun manufacturing
companies and now the DHS is buying up all the ammo? Could they be
using trickery to do what the constitution won’t let them do
legislatively? Shame on any gun or ammo maker that falls into the
trap. They will soon be extinct if they do.
Subject: interesting DHS
This may add a little fuel to your paranoia – remember “just because
you’re paranoid it doesn’t mean that they’re not out to get you”.
The Department of Homeland Security is set to purchase a further 21.6
million rounds of ammunition to add to the 1.6 billion bullets it has
already obtained over the course of the last 10 months alone, figures
which have stoked concerns that the federal agency is preparing for
To put that in perspective, during the height of active battle
operations in Iraq, US soldiers used 5.5 million rounds of ammunition
a month. Extrapolating the figures, the DHS has purchased enough
bullets over the last 10 months to wage a full scale war for almost 30
As we highlighted last month, the DHS’ previous ammunition
solicitation was awarded to Evian Group, an organization that was
formed just five days before the announcement of the solicitation and
appeared to be little more than a front organization since it didn’t
have a genuine physical address, a website, or even a phone
number.!!!! (smell like a “special interest” “arrangement”???)
Last September, the DHS purchased no less than 7,000 fully automatic
assault rifles, labeling them “Personal Defense Weapons.”
Three years after the White House arranged a hero’s welcome at the State of the Union address for the Fort Hood police sergeant and her partner who stopped the deadly shooting there, Kimberly Munley says President Obama broke the promise he made to her that the victims would be well taken care of.
“Betrayed is a good word,” former Sgt. Munley told ABC News in a tearful interview to be broadcast tonight on “World News with Diane Sawyer” and “Nightline.”
“Not to the least little bit have the victims been taken care of,” she said. “In fact they’ve been neglected.”
There was no immediate comment from the White House about Munley’s allegations.
Thirteen people were killed, including a pregnant soldier [CS: and her unborn baby], and 32 others shot in the November 2009 rampage by the accused shooter, Major Nidal Hasan, who now awaits a military trial on charges of premeditated murder and attempted murder.
Tonight’s broadcast report also includes dramatic new video, obtained by ABC News, taken in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, capturing the chaos and terror of the day.
Munley, since laid off from her job with the base’s civilian police force, was shot three times as she and her partner, Sgt. Mark Todd, confronted Hasan, who witnesses said had shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he opened fire on soldiers being processed for deployment to Afghanistan.
As Munley lay wounded, Todd fired the five bullets credited with bringing Hasan down.
Despite extensive evidence that Hasan was in communication with al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki prior to the attack, the military has denied the victims a Purple Heart and is treating the incident as “workplace violence” instead of “combat related” or terrorism.
Munley and dozens of other victims have now filed a lawsuit against the military alleging the “workplace violence” designation means the Fort Hood victims are receiving lower priority access to medical care as veterans, and a loss of financial benefits available to those who injuries are classified as “combat related.”
Some of the victims “had to find civilian doctors to get proper medical treatment” and the military has not assigned liaison officers to help them coordinate their recovery, said the group’s lawyer, Reed Rubinstein.
“There’s a substantial number of very serious, crippling cases of post-traumatic stress disorder exacerbated, frankly, by what the Army and the Defense Department did in this case,” said Rubinstein. “We have a couple of cases in which the soldiers’ command accused the soldiers of malingering, and would say things to them that Fort Hood really wasn’t so bad, it wasn’t combat.”
Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said the Department of Defense is “committed to the highest care of those in our military family.”
“Survivors of the incident at Fort Hood are eligible for the same medical benefits as all servicemembers,” said Little. “The Department of Defense is also committed to the integrity of the ongoing court martial proceedings of Major Nidal Hasan and for that reason will not at this time further characterize the incident.”
Secretary of the Army John McHugh told ABC News he was unaware of any specific complaints from the Fort Hood victims, even though he is a named defendant in the lawsuit filed last November which specifically details the plight of many of them.
“If a soldier feels ignored, then we need to know about it on a case by case basis,” McHugh told ABC News. “It is not our intent to have two levels of care for people who are wounded by whatever means in uniform.”
Some of the victims in the lawsuit believe the Army Secretary and others are purposely ignoring their cases out of political correctness.
“These guys play stupid every time they’re asked a question about it, they pretend like they have no clue,” said Shawn Manning, who was shot six times that day at Fort Hood. Two of the bullets remain in his leg and spine, he said.
“It was no different than an insurgent in Iraq or Afghanistan trying to kill us,” said Manning, who was twice deployed to Iraq and had to retire from the military because of his injuries.
An Army review board initially classified Manning’s injuries as “combat related,” but that finding was later overruled by higher-ups in the Army.
Manning says the “workplace violence” designation has cost him almost $70,000 in benefits that would have been available if his injuries were classified as “combat related.”
“Basically, they’re treating us like I was downtown and I got hit by a car,” he told ABC News.
For Alonzo Lunsford, who was shot seven times at Fort Hood and blinded in one eye, the military’s treatment is deeply hurtful.
“It’s a slap in the face, not only for me but for all of the 32 that wore the uniform that day,” he told ABC News.
Lunsford’s medical records show his injuries were determined to be “in the line of duty” but neither he nor any of the other soldiers shot or killed at Fort Hood is eligible for the Purple Heart under the Department of Defense’s current policy for decorations and awards.
Army Secretary McHugh says awarding Purple Hearts could adversely affect the trial of Major Hasan.
“To award a Purple Heart, it has to be done by a foreign terrorist element,” said McHugh. “So to declare that soldier a foreign terrorist, we are told, I’m not an attorney and I don’t run the Justice Department, but we’re told would have a profound effect on the ability to conduct the trial.”
Members of Congress, including the chairman of the House Homeland Security committee, Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, say they will introduce legislation to force the military and the Obama administration to give the wounded and dead the recognition and honors they deserve.
“It was clearly an act of terrorism that occurred that day, there’s no question in my mind,” McCaul told ABC News. “I think the victims should be treated as such.”
Former Sgt. Munley says she now believes the White House used her for political advantage in arranging for her to sit next to Michelle Obama during the President’s State of the Union address in 2010.
Munley says she has no hesitation now speaking out against the President or taking part in the lawsuit, because she wants to help the others who were shot that day and continue to suffer.
“We got tired of being neglected. So this was our last resort and I’m not ashamed of it a bit,” said Munley. She is also raising money for a movie about Fort Hood, and says some of the proceeds will go to the victims.
The 1958 Disney documentary ‘White Wilderness’ purported to show how furry little arctic rodents called Lemmings, lived and died in a natural cycle of life and death. The film convincingly told us how when their numbers exploded and the local food supply was in danger of being unable to support them, nature in her all wisdom would inexplicably cause the lemmings to migrate to cliffs and jump into the freezing arctic waters. Those that survived the fall didn’t turn back after being roused to their senses by the icy cold. Instead they pressed on, a tangled mass of fur moving away from their natural element into ever deeper waters and their inevitable death. The film was beautifully shot and edited which earned the producers an Academy Award as a documentary film.
It was all very compelling, great eye candy, but it was a complete, total, and absolute fabrication. Sometime later the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation did a follow up documentary called ‘Cruel Camera.’ The evidence was presented showing how the entire screenplay was staged.
The lemming actors were imported from Hudson Bay to Calgary, Alberta, and herded across the foreign tundra. Scene after gripping scene had been carefully staged to dazzle the viewers, until at last, perched atop a high precipice on the edge of the Arctic Sea, the poor creatures like “sheeple to the slaughter” were plopped onto a rapidly spinning turntable and flung from the heights into the tossing waves. The close ups, the drama, life and death in full color was beautifully narrated to con….vince us that it’s nature’s way, and we the viewers must accept it, natures wisdom, at work in the world around us… if you gentle viewers will believe it.
We have been and are being conditioned to believe a lie, to calmly accept what is purported to be “the inevitable.”
While the eyes of most Americans watched the political made for TV series ‘Presidential Debate 2012’, the trailer for the biggest James-Bondsonian type of screenplay ever produced, ‘Middle East, on the road to Armageddon’ just showed in a theatre near you. A well-connected source just secreted me a copy of the script, and if it plays out as currently written, it’s guaranteed to be a horrible, horrible ending… for the lemmings.
This mega-budget action/adventure film has been in production for some time and is soon to be released, possibly, just in time for the holidays. The writers and directors have been tweaking and honing the script to fit some recent “on location” filming opportunities. This is such an important production, that most of the “big name” actors will do anything to be in it; it’s the stuff of legends.
“United Globalista’s Studios” who’ve underwritten this production want to keep a tight rein on the script because they don’t want the twists of the plot and subplots leaked before the big premiere. Why? The studio Moguls in this case are pretty darn smart, they know how “everyone” just wants to be a star, so they are going to let “US,” the invited guests have a part in the final scenes which, surprise, surprise… they intend to “shoot” with a live audience! The studios are hoping that the invited participants remain calm, believing they will enjoy the satisfaction of a feel-good ending.
Me? I see a turntable spinning in the distance.
We are at the precipice of global conflict, WW III. The killing of Ambassador Stevens and other Americans in Libya was merely the prelude, like the opening scenes in a Bond film, but we haven’t yet grasped how it relates to the rest of the script. During the ‘Arab Spring’ we thought we were seeing trailers for several different films before the main attraction, but little did we know how seamlessly the various clips all tie together at the end. The show has already started.
If the script proceeds as written, the entire geopolitical world and balance of power could, and most likely will, change with this next curtain call. No one will be left untouched by the coming events.
So it is here that I pause and with a sense of urgency, suggest that we all move back a few rows and open our gaze to the bigger screen before us. My well placed source walked me there recently and showed me where to look for the hidden images in the big picture. It’s difficult at first, but once you know what you’re looking for, it suddenly it pops out and bam!.. it seems obvious! There is no way that one cannot “not see it!” At his request I cannot give him his proper and well-deserved attribution, but without his insight I might have completely missed my ah-ha moment and the instant, urgent and extreme importance of the events taking place before us right now.
WW III will not ‘START’ with Iran (Not even ‘SORT’ of)
Maintaining the screenplay metaphor, like Bond, we will transit the world before the climactic final scene on that high cliff; but for now, the prelude takes place in and around Syria, not Iran or even Israel.
It is Syria and Russia VS the U.S. and NATO, with supporting actor roles going to the usual suspects; including but not limited to Vladimir Putin, Barrack Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton, and, of course, the late Christopher Stevens. One more thing: please re-read and understand the references contained in this sub-heading, which are critically important to one’s overall understanding of events.
Ambassador Stevens and the Syrian “Red line”
We citizens are befuddled by Mr. Obama’s insistence that members of his administration keep pushing an implausible and mercurial narrative about the events in Libya that resulted in the death of our fellow citizen heroes. The official non-sensible explanations have been easily refuted thus far, yet Presidente’ Obama and his Czars continue to push illogical narratives. Why? Is the truth that dangerous? Seems to me that “the only people who don’t want the ‘TRUTH’, are people with something to hide”. What is it that you have to ‘HIDE’, Mr. President?
To better understand what happened in Libya, you must first understand the context in which it took place. Ambassador Stevens was probably at least as valuable as a U.S. intelligence asset/operative as he was a diplomat. He operated the Iran desk early in his career and eventually became one of our top “go to” experts on all things Iran. Mr. Stevens served in countries throughout the mid-east before eventually settling in Syria for several years. He was well known and respected in the region. He also lived in Washington D.C. for several years while serving as the Director of Multilateral Nuclear and Security Affairs. His little black book with the contact numbers for the good and bad actors and their agents had become pretty extensive; but… here’s where the plot thickens. It appears that Mr. Stevens might not have initially entered Libya to stop the flow of weapons, but to help funnel them under the direction of higher ups in the Obama regime. He was tasked with coordinating, overseeing and facilitating the movement of the rebel fighters from across North Africa through eastern Libya.
The troops were armed with weapons from Gaddafi’s extensive hidden arsenals and spirited to staging areas in the Syrian refugee camps in Turkey. If this administration had needed to go to Congress over the last year and ask for money and troops to start a war with Russia, on Syrian soil do you think they would have gotten it? Not a chance, the electorate would never have put up with it, but, this administration’s handlers didn’t need to. They just got creative. Does Iran-Contra come to mind, anyone? All they have done thus far is ask for a few paltry millions for administrative costs to “support the Syrian Freedom Fighters.”
But enough of the charade, let’s be clear here! At this exact moment, we, the American People, are already directly engaged in an all-out proxy war with Russia! This is not and/or will not remain an arm’s length cold war. This is already a hot war with tens of thousands of deaths in the last several months. This administration has taken sides and chosen its “winner,” sending money, arms, logistical and intelligence support to the Syrian Freedom fighters. You know these actors as you’ve seen them on the screen before. Check the credits, their real names are The Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda. They recently debuted in the theatrical ‘Arab Spring.’ A local hit with recent appearances in Egypt, Tunisia, etc.
False flags already “a-blowin’ in the wind”
Ambassador Steven’s last official meeting is reported to have been with the Turkish consul general. It occurred approximately an hour-and-a-half before he was assassinated. It is interesting that this meeting occurred in Bengazi. Tripoli is the seat of power in Libya, and a meeting of this type could easily and more safely have been arranged there. However, Libya is almost two countries now, think East/West Germany half a century ago. The eastern half is more closely aligned with the radical Muslim Brotherhood powers now in control in Egypt. The border is really a near invisible line drawn by some western powers long ago and has little meaning to the locals. The Turkish Consul General had to meet there, not just with our Ambassador but also the various factions shipping arms to Syria through Turkey. He was looking for assurances that none of the chemical WMDs still left in Libya after Gaddafi’s demise had and/or would touch Turkish soil.
For several months now the U.S. and NATO aligned nations have been ratcheting up the hyperbole of the threat of Assad’s Chemical weapons stockpile. President Obama and Secretary Clinton have threatened repeatedly that if WMDs from Syria’s arsenal are used or their security threatened (in other words, if it looked like the rebel good guy/bad guys might capture a chemical weapons site from Assad’s forces), it would result in an immediate need for extensive UN intervention. In other words, this administration is telling Mr. Assad “heads we win, tails you lose,” no matter what happens we will find a reason to bring the UN and Western troops into Syria. Might just as well accept the inevitable and give up!
But, wait, there’s more! Unlike our other recent adventures in the region chasing after loner states, this one isn’t as alone as you first thought, it has some very mean looking “Big Brothers.” Russia is hosted by the new and improved President Putin along with an additional cast of favorites, China and Iran. Mr. Putin is making it very clear to the west that “we have drawn a ‘deep red line in the sand’ in Syria.”If the U.S. and NATO should choose to cross it, “WW III will start in Syria”.
President Putin is convinced that the next act of this screenplay will contain some variation of a “false flag” event involving chemical weapons. He has not minced words warning Turkey, the little guy caught between a rock and a hard place, not to get involved. The Russian alliance thinks some of the munitions for this false, lying documentary, might have already been spirited from Libya. If I were Mr. Putin, and couldn’t overtly fly bombing missions over my enemies’ supply lines, communications or command centers, I’d probably try to do something covert that exposes my hidden enemies and brings them out into the open.
It is interesting that the death of our Ambassador has brought the Libya/Syria connections into the light of day. Who’d that benefit, is this, ‘The Truth’ that scares the someone(s) with something to hide! Amazing, isn’t it, how accurately those mortars were placed by those rag—tag protesters. Is it possible that our arms-length conflict has now become a little more direct?
Whatever the truth is, Turkey wants everybody off their soil. They want a buffer zone created across the border inside Syria, where the UN, the U.S. and NATO, can care for the refugee population they arecon…iving into this insane civil war.
While the curtain is being forcibly closed on the unfortunate events involving Ambassador Stevens and his associates, the stage is nearly set for the next act. We’ve seen the first glimpse of that act in the last several days, when a mortar was launched into Turkey and Turkey responded in kind. All that is needed now is for a dutiful media to present one image, a video, or some other “proof” that Assad or someone else is using, or has their hands on, unconventional weapons. This will provide the necessary pretext for the U.S. and NATO, to intervene and ramp up the war against Assad. The UN will assist, and the red line will then have been crossed.
Don’t you hate it when your patriotic energy is twisted in a Jujutsu style move against you? Your family? Your country?
It is important to understand that Russia has upwards of 100,000 troops and “advisors” on the ground in Syria and a significant contingent of their navy is parked in the Mediterranean front yard. Consider that against the historical backdrop of Vietnam. It’s too long a conversation for now, but we need to have it soon. Current events have put Russia’s back against the wall, and they intend to come out fighting. Consider what Mr. Obama has done, at the behest of his Sunni Muslim handlers, facilitating “change” in the complexion of North Africa and all of the Middle East. Now visualize what the geopolitical landscape will look like should President Obama’s handlers continue to push their Pan-Arab, United States of Muslim’s agenda. We can’t fight what we refuse to see, or understand what we accept even exists.
Though the Lemming lie was exposed long ago, the tale was so well told, that even today, the vast majority of our fellow citizens still believe it. The voice and words are still ringing in my ears: “remain seated, we will be on the ground shortly.” The sounds and narration lull us to acquiescence. The camera’s shots are well planned and the lighting and focus precise, to date we’ve only seen directly and indirectly the subtleties the directors and editors wanted us to see.
I say “STOP!” the turntables, somebody turn on the lights in here.
Let’s refuse to be herded into this latest lying, fabricated documentary; we actors have been sold a bill of goods concerning who’s behind this film and how it plays out! I don’t want anyone doing voiceovers when they edit it later, making it look like I agreed with all this crap! Let’s start moving to the exits and hope there are no hidden shooters or bomb throwers in the crowd! There is still a little time. I, for one, refuse to believe that we have no choice, but to dutifully, willingly allow ourselves to be plopped on that turntable for their horrific next scene.
May God help us all with light and wisdom for what’s ahead.
Doug Hagmann Bio
Dr. Garrow is not known for being a wild crackpot or part of the political fringe, so when he recently made the following post on his Facebook page, it got the attention of a number people: “I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new ‘litmus test’ in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks. ‘The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not.’ Those who will not are being removed.” When asked who is source was, Garrow replied: “The man who told me this is one of America’s foremost military heroes.”
One has to wonder if this had anything to do with President Obama’s dismissal of Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis from his post as commander of the Central Command. The Washington Free Beacon commented on the dismissal, saying: “Word on the national security street is that General James Mattis is being given the bum’s rush out of his job as commander of Central Command, and is being told to vacate his office several months earlier than planned.”
Ever since taking office 4 years ago, Obama has been carefully tailoring the military to his specifications. Once he started making his sweeping changes, many career military personnel including commanding officers began retiring or resigning their commissions, leaving the military to the liberals. I’ve been writing for a couple years now saying that Obama has plans to purposely destroy America’s economy in order to create a national emergency. This would give him the reason to declare martial law and assume dictatorial control. He will disband Congress and establish his own Gestapo style national police.
THIS IS PRICELESS: ACTUAL PASSPORT APPLICATION LETTER SENT BACK TO STATE DEPARTMENT.
Dear Mrs. Ms. Or Sir: I’m in the process of renewing my passport and still cannot believe this. How is it that Radio Shack has my address and telephone number and knows that I bought a cable TV from them in 1987 (28 years ago), and yet, the Federal Government is still asking me where I was born and on what date. For Christ sakes, do you guys do this by hand? Ever heard of computers?
My birth date you have in my social security file. It’s on EVERY income tax form I’ve filed for the past 30 years. It’s on my Medicare health insurance card and my driver’s license, it’s on the last eight damn passports I’ve had, it’s on every stupid customs declaration form I’ve had to fill out before being allowed off the plane for the last 30 years. And it’s on all those census forms that we have to do at election times. Would somebody please take note, once and for all, that my mother’s name is Maryanne, my father’s name is Robert and I’m reasonably confident that neither name is likely to change between now and when I die.
Between you an’ me, I’ve had enough of this bureaucratic bullshit! You send the application to my house, then you ask me for my #*&#%*& address. What is going on? You must have a gang of bureaucratic Neanderthal morons working there! Look at my damn picture. Do I look like Bin Laden? And “No,” I don ‘t want to dig up Yasser Arafat, for shit sakes. I just want to go and park my ass on a sandy beach. And would someone please tell me, why would you give a damn whether I plan on visiting a farm in the next 15 days? If I ever got the urge to do something weird to a chicken or a goat, believe you me, I’d sure as hell not want to tell anyone!
Well, I have to go now because I have to go to the other end of the city and get another #*@&#^@*@& copy of my birth certificate to the tune of $100. Would it be so difficult to have all the services in the same area so I could get a new passport the same day? Nooooo, that would require planning and organization. And it would be too logical for the @&^*^%@% government. You’d rather have us running all over the place like chickens with our heads cut off. Then, we have to find some asshole to confirm that it ‘s really me in the damn picture – you know, the one where we ‘re not allowed to smile…Hey, you know why we can’t smile? We’re totally pissed off!
Signed - An Irate Citizen.
P.S. Remember what I wrote about getting someone to confirm that the picture is me? Well, my family has been in the United States of America since 1776. I have served in the military for something over 35 years and have had security clearances up the ying yang. However, I have to get someone important to verify who I am – you know, someone like my doctor … WHO WAS BORN AND RAISED IN INDIA! And you assholes want to run our health caresystem? What could possibly go wrong?
